With a 96%, you can indeed be admitted to Delhi University. While Lady Shri Ram College for Women's cut-offs for admission to its BA (H) Political Science, BA (H) Economics, and BA (H) Psychology programme were incredibly high. There are still opportunities available for students with scores in the 90s. For instance, Kamala Nehru College and Maitreyi College had cut-offs of 96%.

Additionally, Aryabhatta College had a cut-off of 95%. These colleges, along with others, offer various courses that may be within reach for a student with a score of 96%.

Indeed, there is a good chance that an applicant with a 96% chance of passing DUET will be admitted to DU, but they also need to have passed other recognised admission tests including CUET-PG, CUET, and DUET. More rounds might be held for some courses. Rounds of individual interviews or group talks may be required of the candidates.

Yes, the possibility of getting DUET, in DU with 96% is quite high but the candidates must have valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as CUET-PG,  CUET,  DUET, and others. For some courses, additional rounds may be held. The candidates may be called for group discussions or personal interview rounds. Hence, do check the course eligibility criteria once before getting admission.

Both IPU and DU are public/ government universities and are one of the oldest universities. DU admissions are tough because of the high cutoff for some colleges, whereas for IPU, admissions are comparatively easy for some colleges with low cut-offs. The infrastructure of colleges affiliated with IPU is comparatively better than that affiliated with DU. The fee is another factor that makes DU a preference among students. In the end, it depends on the students, which university is better for them.
