Can I get good job opportunities after completing Master of Public Health?

Hi Reshma, The scope of Public Health is dynamic and ever changing and in coming decades there will always be need of public health professionals. The government schemes such as National Health Mission, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karykram, etc. requires lot's of trained public health professional so we can assume there will be a number of contractual jobs and few permanent jobs. Secondly, scope lies in health care analytic, big data, GIS as we have just started with Integrated Disease Surveillance Program which is being established as a CDC like surveillance system in India. The above mentioned also has a broad level of application in consulting firms, policy related research and evidence generation. Further, research is one more of the avenues which is slowly coming up in form of research based jobs, research networks and public health labs some of the research firms are PHFI, INCLEN, JPAL Poverty Lab, NHRC. The immense grass-roots action in form of not for profits requires constant level of entry and mid level jobs for MPH graduates. The insurance sector with its boom due to the opening of the sector to international players offers a number of job openings.
