The 70% is a good score but in BIT seats are limited and very competitive. The rank matters the most here. Last year the maximum rank accepted was 181000 which means that this year it would be even lesser so if you got around 1.5Lakh or lesser rank in JEE Mains you have a solid chance. It's recommended that to contact directly if you have a very tight rank to the cutoff. Even though if you wish to have CSE or IT then you need rank lessr than 40k in JEE Mains.
