Admission in BITS Pilani is based on BITSAT exam and not on JEE Mains.

No, you cannot get admission in BITS-Pilani through JEE Mains. They conduct their own entrance examination by named BITSAT. If you appear for this examination and crack it with the required score for the branch of your interest, then only you'll get admission in BITS-Pilani. Even if your score is very high in JEE Mains or your all India rank is very high in JEE Advanced, then also you have to apply through BITSAT only. BITSAT has a typical format. BITS-Pilani is considered as no.1 among all the private engineering colleges so obvious there are some strict parameters of admission. BITS-Pilani does not allow admission through JEE Mains or Advanced exam. The college conducts its own exam called BITSAT and according to the rank in this exam, BITS-Pilani offers admission in its college.
So, just for a guess, why BITS-Pilani does not accept JEE Mains core? BITS-Pilani is one of the reputed colleges among all engineering colleges even IIT takes 2 exams for admission then why BITS offer admission through a single exam?

No, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, does not consider JEE Main scores. Candidates need to appear for the BITSAT exam to get admission at BITS Pilani. However, it offers direct admission to candidates who have topped the Class 12 exams, irrespective of their scores in BITSAT. BITSAT entrance tests candidates logical, reasoning, and analytical capabilities. Other than this, candidates need to be good in mathematics and Science to do well in the entrance exam at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani, Rajasthan). .

BITS Pilani conducts its own entrance test BITSAT. But BITS Mesra takes admission on the basis of both JEE Mains and BITSAT but it considers only high ranks.You can check the cutoff of 2017.

No, you can't take admission in BITs through JEE Main marks. Birla Institute of Technology and Science is ranked 1 private engineering college of India and gives close competition to even the top IITs.
BITs conducts its own entrance examination called BITSAT to admit its students. Level of BITSAT is not so high but time is limited. BITSAT asks some very basic questions, so your basics must be clear. Apart from, physics, chemistry and mathematics BITSAT also has english and aptitude questions.
Generally, BITs Pilani conducts BITSAT in the mid of May. It's an online examination so marks will appear on screen just after your final submissio

No, you can't get admission in BITS, Pilani through JEE Mains. You have to give BITSAT for that.
BITS, Pilani will conduct BITSAT 2018 in online mode, tentatively from the third week of May to the last week of May 2018. The entrance test is expected to be conducted in a window of 2 weeks for admissions to the Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering at its 3 campuses - Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.
