Can I get into HBTU, Kanpur through JEE Mains?

Unlike previous years where the admission to HBTI was based on UPSEE, from this year onwards the admission will be only through JEE Mains. This is because of the fact that HBTI is no longer the same nor does it has the same name. It has now got the status of autonomous by NAAC, and the name has now changed to Harcourt Butler Technical University, being accredited a university status now. Earlier the college was among the other AKTU colleges, being under UPTU jurisdiction, the admission for which one had to be among the top 500 students performers in UPSEE exam. But now one can get direct admission to the college through JEE Mains counseling, that is if one manages to crack the exam with good scores. Harcourt Butler Technical University is known to have a reputation for excellence in academics and having one of the best faculty in the respective departments. I assume that you are talking about HBTU that is Harcourt Buttler Technical University as it is now transformed into a university and now is not a separate institute. Well talking about taking institute in HBTU, there is one main mode through JEE Mains through which you can get admission by means of general counseling conducted by JOSSA. HBTU it is located in Kanpur and a renowned college for its modern teaching culture and hi-tech labs and equipment. Harcourt Buttler Technical University is starting its first session as a university.It accepts JEE Main rank to admit it's students in various undergraduate programs. Earlier HBTU used to take admission on the basis of UPSEE rank.The cutoff was not so high as expected but it's not too low as well. Here is the branch wise cutoff for general category: 1.
