Can I get into SRM through TNEA?

No, TNEA is an exam conducted every year by Tamil Nadu state government for taking out admissions into various state government colleges. SRM being an autonomous body conducts its own that is SRMJEE conducted every year nationwide. For getting into the SRM you need to get atleast 70k rank though you will not be able to secure a good branch. Next mode is through JEE Mains but you should be a topper and should get a rank around 500 or below 1000. Also, a state board topper can get directly into it without any means of exams. The paper consists of three sections that is physics maths and chemistry for engineering aspirants. Though the question paper is very easy and can be cracked after a couple of revisions and a little but thorough practice. The physics and chemistry part is mostly of theory part and can be cracked by means of your board preparations. But if you want to get a fee waiver or a branch like CSE or mechanical, you need to get a rank below 1000. One unofficial but also a famous method to get into it is through management quota. For that you will be paying extra money which is quite obvious and getting a branch of your desire. this is all about SRM entrance. Hope it will be helpful.

No, the only means to procure a seat at SRM is to participate in SRMJEE and securing a rank of 70000 and below. Otherwise, you need to be a board topper, among the top 3, or a JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) topper. You can certainly take admission in SRM's sister campus Valliamai campus, which is also coordinated by SRM, but is not that popular until now and have not made their mark. SRM being an autonomous body does not entertain any other exam score other than its own. SRMJEE (SRM Joint entrance examination) is a relatively easy exam compared to JEE and is a lot easier to crack with little thorough preparation in maths. The physics and chemistry portions are comparatively easier and anybody with thorough board preparations can deal with them. But, if you are looking for scholarships and fee waivers, you need to score a minimum of 1000 rank lower to qualify for a fee waiver and be eligible for scholarships.
