These companies mostly prefer computer science students because there is intense use of programming skills in these product base companies, but still Microsoft, Cisco recruits ECE graduates.

If you want to work on Google or Microsoft, you can take CSE and also you need to master computer language. I recommend c+. Google has five interviews so you need to be very intelligent, active, and confident. And also should have knowledge in CSE in as much details and depth as possible.

Yes, you can, but for that, you have to be good in coding and crack the world level coding test and then you can easily get a job from ECE branch also.
