Can I get lateral entry admission in 2nd year for B.Tech if I do one sitting Diploma in civil?

If Diploma in Engineering is from an approved Polytechnic, then only you are eligible for lateral entry admission in engineering.

It has to be from an institute recognized by State Government Technical Education authority. Ido not think one sitting Diploma is approved by any authority.
