Hello Praful Patil, it's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your graduation in engineering after completion of your Diploma in plastics engineering. Yes you will be eligible to seek admission in lateral mode in petrochemical or chemical engineering. However I would like to advise you to visit the webpage of the directorate of technical education of your state where you will find all this information in authentic manner. There is a table on the website which will tell you as to for a particular branch of engineering graduation which all different branches in Diploma are eligible. Best wishes to you.
