Hi Rama,
Your score is not bad but it is not enough to get mechanical engineering branch at SASTRA university and it is also not sure whether you can get a seat or not.
The admission at SASTRA University is based on:
1) JEE scores and board exam scores (70%)
2) Only board exam scores (30%).
Since many students who get a normal score in JEE Mains and a fair score in board exams apply for SASTRA University and people with a good score above 1000 also apply for it, you have low chances only.
