The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was set up to cater to the needs of a mixed group of learners up to pre-degree level. The NIOS Class 12 subjects are categorized into six groups: Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, Group E, and Group F. All the language subjects are included in Group A. All the other subjects such as Science, math, commerce, etc. Have been put in other groups. The maximum mark for each of the NIOS 12th exams is 100.
