Can I get NIT-Durgapur with 36k JEE Mains rank? I am from west Bengal and belong to general category.

To be honest, you are getting a benefit of state quota and yes, there are possibilities. But don't be too sure getting branches like CSE and ECE. You may not get that branches though you have a state quota. You may check your eligibility by using Shiksha College Predictor. You will get a rough est

There are chances but don't be too sure. You may get admission in chemical civil biotech and metallurgical. Other than these, no other branches are possible. Keep your finger crossed. Good luck. But wait till special round.

First of all, congrats on your success. As per your rank and state-quota, definitely, you have a preference for getting a seat in NIT-Durgapur. So, fill the JoSAA form for the 1st round of counselling and then conditions will be clear for you. All the best.
