Punjab Engineering College (PEC) is one of the most sought-after institutes, and admission usually depends on high JEE Mains ranks. A percentile of seventy-four point one roughly corresponds to a rank beyond one lakh, which makes it challenging to secure a seat in PEC, particularly in core branches like Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering. However, you may consider applying for spot rounds, state quota, or category-based seats if eligible. Exploring other reputed colleges under the same percentile range or considering private engineering institutes with good placements can also be a wise and practical backup option.

    Well a clear no.
You cannot get into the punjab engineering college with 74.1 percentile in JEE mains. The seats can only be availed by students whose rank lie in the range of 10k-15k which accounts for a much higher percentile. If we talk about general category the percentile iseven more high.
