As per my knowledge, LPU is one of the best universities to pursue MCA. Scholarships are provided on the basis of graduation scores. The campus environment is good. Placements: Placements of this university are awesome, and many companies like Amazon, CTS, TCS, Flipkart, and Solve, etc. , visit the campus for placements. Almost 90% of students get placed during the course, while the placements also depend on the students' performance. LPU offers all of the above-mentioned courses with certain eligibility and needs the LPU NEST entrance test to qualify for availing scholarships and further Admission into the programme. Hi, The eligibility criteria for MCA is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in BCA or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or B.Sc. (Information Technology) or any Graduation with Computer Science as a subject for three years or B.A. Or B.Com or B.Sc. (any Graduation) with (Mathematics as one of the subject at Graduation or 10+2 level) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) The programme outcomes include Analysis & design of complex problems, Coding skills, Ethics, Communication, Societal Impact, Individual and teamwork and Life-long learning. I would say, it is good to pursue MCA after pursuing BCA as you will get good job opportunities and better packages. Well, all universities perform well at their own ends but Lovely professional University is achieving its own Shine regularly at a higher pace be it academic, research, technology, exposures The placement drives at LPU are highly efficient and successful, and I am saying this because one of my friend has done MCA from LPU only and right now she is working with Wipro. Few points told by my friend who did her studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: She told me LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards. It is two year course with bridge course for nin computer or Maths background students. University take 15-20 days extra classes before commencements of academic year. LPU focuses on practical knowledge a lot, they have high tech labs and dedicated MAC lab for iOS development, each core subject has a different practical subject for it. Certifications from industries, Hackathons and workshops, Guest lectures, Regular educational trips, Real life live projects, Community projects, etc. All are essential and integral part of the curriculum. Besides core curricula, you will also get subjects like communication, verbal, analytical skills and soft skills to improve personality and employability and be more productive. She got many opportunities like coding events, hackathons and a lot more in LPU so that you can improve your skills, you will be able to achieve various certifications, which will help you in getting better placements. They give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all need is a decent place with good exposure.
