    Yes, of course. For IT jobs, you need to be a bit specialised in any of the programming languages like C, C+, Java, Python, etc. During placements, they generally have an aptitude examination and coding round and then HR round. So, coding is necessary. Your stream doesn't matter, but your knowledge matters. You would be dumbfounded to hear that even core department students like mechanical and electrical engineering students get placed in IT companies.

    Yes, you can very well go for IT industry after B.Tech in ECE. IT companies employees are working mainly on applications development, testing and support phases. Engineers are best fit for these as they are good with technical and analytical skills. Easier to train them, programme logics are easily decodeable for them. You can go for IT jobs too.
