Can I go for law studies as I am working as a software engineer in an IT company? I have completed BE (IT) in 2011.

You are eligible to seek admission in 3 years LLB degree course even after BE IT as graduates of all disciplines are eligible to seek admission in 3 years LLB degree course offered by majority of Universities. You are advised to appear in LLB Entrance Examination conducted by legacy Universities.
