Can I go to Australia?
I have scored 5.5 bands and completed my class 12th in 2016.

In IELTS, you need to score 6 bands individually and overall 6.5 band, then it depends on which course you want to join. Different course has different band requirements and strong academic background too. -
Hi Gurdeep, an overall score of 5.5 is not usually accepted. You need to contact the college directly , they might ask you to retake the IELTS or ask for completion of a pre-requisite courses in English such as ELICOS. Your academic grades will also matter which you have not specified.
