Can I go to Australia?
I have scored 5.5 bands and completed my class 12th in 2016.

In IELTS, you need to score 6 bands individually and overall 6.5 band, then it depends on which course you want to join. Different course has different band requirements and strong academic background too.

Hi Gurdeep, an overall score of 5.5 is not usually accepted. You need to contact the college directly , they might ask you to retake the IELTS or ask for completion of a pre-requisite courses in English such as ELICOS. Your academic grades will also matter which you have not specified.
