    Yes, you can join a Diploma in plastics, even if you have a BE in mechanical engineering.

    You can apply for a Diploma course at a CIPET center if you have passed 10th standard or equivalent.

    There are many career options like plastic testing technologist, design technician, mold designer, or process engineer. 

    Some companies that recruit plastic engineers include Oil India Limited, College and Universities, and Petroleum Conservation Research Association of India.
