Admission to the 3rd Semester or 2nd year of B-tech is possible after completing Diploma. This is called lateral entry. Many private colleges take their own entrance exam for that. You can contact directly to the particular college where you want to take admission.
It depends on the college whether that college is accepting direct admission or not.
In most of the cases, no entrance exam is required if you have secured 60% in the final year of Diploma.
