DY Patil Institute of Management offers admission based on entrance exam or merit in the qualifying exam. Candidates seeking admission in MBA programme can qualify CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT or MAH MBA CET followed by WAT and PI rounds. The selection for MCA is based on MAH MCA CET. For all other courses, admission is based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam.

DY Patil Institute of Management offers two courses at the postgraduate level; MBA and MCA. The selection process for MBA includes meeting the eligibility criteria, producing valid scores in MHT CET/CAT/MAT/XAT, GD and PI, Verification of documents and payment of fees. Students aspiring to take admission in MCA must meet the eligibility criteria. Eligible and shortlisted students need to appear for GD and PI, conducted by DYPU.
