No, admission to all courses at Hindustan University is contingent upon achieving a passing mark on the corresponding entrance tests. The university administers an internal entrance exam called HITSCAT for most UG courses in the Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management, and Law streams. Students can apply for the BTech programme through HISEEE, which is also Hindustan University's internal entrance test. In addition, students may be admitted to specialised degree entry tests through a variety of national-level exams, including CLAT, GATE, and UGC NET.

For the majority of UG courses from the streams of Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management and Law, the university conducts an in-house entrance exam, i.e., HITSCAT. For BTech course, students can apply via HISEEE, which is also an in-house entrance exam of Hindustan University.
