For the undergraduate programmes, such as BSc (By Research) and BTech in Mathematics and Computing, you need to appear for one of the following national-level exams: JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET-UG, or IAT. Therefore, you cannot join IISc without JEE Main, unless you appear for one of the other exam

For admission to BTech programme, it is mandatory for students to submit a valid score of JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced entrance exam. Candidates cannot join BTech course without JEE Main score. Yes, you can join the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) without JEE Main if you take the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) or NEET-UG. IISc also accepts scores from JEE Advanced for admission to the BS programme. However, JEE Advanced is the only channel for admission to the BTech programme.
