No, you cannot join IIST directly. Admission to IIST is only through the Joint Entrance Examination - Advanced (JEE Advanced).

To be eligible for admission to IIST, you must have:

Secured a valid JEE Advanced rank
Passed the 12th class examination from a recognised board with a minimum of 75% marks in
