During your last semester, you can apply for AFCAT and CDS. AFCAT is especially for air force and CDS for every stream of Indian Army.

Yes, you can join. NDA is one of the platform, which can provides you the opportunity for joining Indian Army. UPSC conduct the NDA exam twice in a year.
