Yes, of course. You can join Lucknow Institute of Technology (LIT) for M.Tech also without attending GATE. M.Tech entry into LIT is UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) as well. Depending upon the seat availability and eligibility, there is institutional counseling to facilitate entry. GATE-qualified candidates get priority for scholarships and other preferences. There is also a scope for a student, who hasn't qualified under GATE, to apply to the college considering the academic performance along with an entrance examination conducted by that institute or even a state-level entrance examination.
