Candidates must pass BE/ BTech in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate to apply for VIT Chennai M.Tech programme. Hence, aspirants with 60% in BTech can apply for admission to M.Tech programme. Besides, meeting the aggregate requirements, candidates must also pass VITMEE conducted by the institute.

Candidates for M.Tech at VIT Chennai are normally required to have a minimum aggregate of 60% or similar CGPA in their BTech or relevant qualifying degree from a recognised university. Additionally, candidates must pass the VITMEE (VIT Master's Entrance Examination) or have a valid GATE score. Meeting these criteria is required for consideration for admission to M.Tech programmes at VIT Chennai, since it ensures eligibility and competitive performance in the entrance exam.

No, candidates willing to take admission in M.Tech at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai must have passed the BE/ BTech programme with a minimum of 60% aggregate. Without having a minimum of 60% aggregate, students cannot register for the application process of VITMEE. Apart from BTech aggregate, candidates should do well in the VITMEE exam to secure a decent rank, making them eligible for the counselling process followed by the documents verification and fee payment.
