Maharaja Ganga Singh University offers an entrance exam called URATPG for admission to its postgraduate programmes. On the other hand, admissions are also determined by merit. Those who are willing may apply to MGSU directly. In order to be accepted into the MGSU Bikaner M.Sc. curriculum, candidates must fulfil the college's entry requirements. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school or university in any discipline in order to be eligible. The admission process is as follows

Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will then have to visit the alloted college for document verification and confirmation of seat after the fee payment.
Candidates need to carry the following documents in original as well as photocopies (two sets of self-attested copies) during the URAT PG 2025 counselling:
- URAT PG 2025 application form (Both phase I & phase II)
- Valid Photo Identity Card (e.g. Aadhar, Voter Id, PAN Card, DL etc.)
- URAT PG 2025 hall ticket
- URAT PG 2025 result card
- Recent photographs of passport size (six photos).
- Date of Birth certificate or Merit certificate
- Class 12th & 10th mark sheet
- Caste-category certificates as issued by the competent authorities
- Transfer certificates, character certificates from the college/ university last attended
