Admission to all the BTech courses is subject to JEE Main scores and Class 12 scores(given equal weightage) for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats. However, as per the official website, there is no fixed or specific cutoff to get a seat here. It depends on the students who score the highest marks. If a student has appeared for JEE Main then they need to apply under stream 1 of admission. Additionally, as per the data available on the internet, if a student has a score of 90-95% in Class 12 and 50-120 in JEE Main, there is a high possibility of getting admission.

  • Yes, it's indeed possible to gain admission into SASTRA University's B.Tech programme without relying on the JEE scores. SASTRA University adopts a unique admission process where it considers both the scores obtained in the 10+2 examinations and JEE Main ranks for allocating seats, but JEE is not the sole criterion. Specifically, SASTRA allocates a certain percentage of its seats to students based solely on their 10+2 examination marks. This provides a pathway for students who have performed exceptionally well in their school final examinations but may not have a JEE Main rank or have chosen not to appear for the JEE Main exam.
