    Hi Anjali,
    After +2 a student is eligible to take the Foundation Course. Examination can be taken twice a year, in June and December.
    Candidates who pass the Foundation examination are eligible to seek registration as students to the Company Secretary ship Course.
    The course completes after a preliminary, intermediate and final examination.
    Final Examination can be taken after 18 months of enrolling in the course and having undergone satisfactory postal or oral tuition for the particular group of final examination.

    Company Secretary is a 3 year course that trains students to handle the legal aspects of a firm including tax returns and record keeping. The Company Secretary is directly involved in a company strategy, decision making and ensuring all the activities comply with legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.

Under the Company Secretaries ACT of 1980, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) educates and oversees company secretaries in India.     ICSI (The Institute of Company Secretaries of India), which is the CS Institute and the premier National Professional body established by Act of Parliament to develop and regulate the Profession of Company Secretaries.
