    Hi Rishiraj,
To practice as an optometrist it is essential to have a Bachelor's degree in Optometry. The optometrists may practice alone or in collaboration with other eye specialists or teach.
    An optometrist can:
Manage his or her own eye clinic, optical shop, lens manufacturing unit
Contribute to eye tests, contact lenses, exercises
Collaborate with opticians, ophthalmologists, lens manufacturers
    Teach optometry
Help detect diseases or fit contact lenses/Low Vision Aids
Assist in vision screen at schools and in industries
Provide optometric counselling to patients with partial sight and hereditary vision defects
