A college should have affiliation with state board university, approval of AICTE. In central, private universities are approved by UGC,NAAC organisations.

    A college must have
    1. Recognition from State Government
    2. Approval of AICTE
    3. Affiliation with concerned universities
AICTE approval is not applicable for Universities that conduct course in engineering within the main campus. Including State / Central universities, Private / deemed universities etc. But UGC Approval is mandatory
