Dear Aspirant, The requirement of CGPA for placement depends on the particular company visiting for the placement. As per my experience, most of the companies ask for a minimum of 6 CGPA to get eligible for placement. I would suggest you maintain a 7 CGPA minimum to get eligible for all companies. For more details, you can contact your placement coordinator. I hope this helps
    Good Luck!

In LPU, generally for most courses, CGPA is not the criteria to get you placed. However, there are some companies that ask for minimum CGPA. Like In the School of Computer Science and Engineering, things are a little opposite. Companies that hire students from CSE expect students to maintain a minimum level of CGPA. The CGPA score may vary from company to company, but you got to have a decent score. Like we cant go with 5 CGPA and backlog and declared that I want to be hired. Because Some organizations require you to have a CGPA as high as 8, but the good news is, in the case with Amazon, Cognizant, and TCS. They are pretty flexible wh

Dear aspirant, if you want better placements you have to be at better position, by this I mean you have to maintain 7-CGPA above, there should not be any backlog. Do attend PEP classes organized by LPU as it grooms students over all and make them ready for placement. More than 550 companies visit LPU every year for campus placement. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra are few to names with. The highest package grabbed by CSE student is of 3cr per annum in 2022.

Some companies want high CGPA - 7 or more. Those having lesser CGPA are not allowed to sit in the interview. CGPA is one part where one must guard oneself and leave no loopholes. However there is one thing one has to do. Not paying any attention to co curricular activities would be suicidal. One has to aim at holistic development. The companies not only want intelligent people but also those who are good at presenting things. This one can learn while doing mock interviews, group discussions, presentations and other such activities. The teachers, mentors and the placement faculty will pin point the flaws that will help the students impr

Dear aspirant, the minimum CGPA required for placement varies depending on the specific company visiting your campus. In my experience, many companies typically seek candidates with a minimum CGPA of 6 to be eligible for placement opportunities. To maximize your chances and have access to a broader range of opportunities, I recommend aiming for a minimum CGPA of 7. For more precise information, it's advisable to reach out to your placement coordinator, who can provide you with further details and guidance. I hope this information is helpful to you.

The companies have specifications such as maintaining CGPA. Some companies want only those students who have 7 CGPA while some want 6 CGPA. There still are some for whom CGPA is not very important at all.
