Can I know which is better: IIIT Sonepat or LPU?

Dear Aspirant, IIIT Sonepat and LPU Jalandhar are good public and private institutes respectively. IIT Sonepat offers only B.Tech (CSE)/B.Tech (IT). While LPU offers more than 200+ programme in several disciplines such as humanities, management, fine arts, law, engineering, agriculture, paramedical Science, etc. Being an alumnus of LPU I would like to share a few details of LPU with you. Placement: In LPU, more than 550+ national and multinational companies visit for placement. The maximum package availed for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA. Scholarships/Financial Assistance: LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students with good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility. Research Achievement: 1. Stanford University ranks 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world 2. Researchers endorse 'Wild Himalayan Fig' aka Bedu as a natural pain reliever Faculty/Staff: All professors and staff are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Infrastructure: Every facility is available on the campus itself, a student does not need to go outside for anything. On the campus, Central Library, Hospital facility is available 24*7 for staff and students, Shopping mall, Indoor Sports Stadium with 3 Olympic size Swimming Pools, Public/Private Sector Banks, ATM, etc. Ranking: 1. Ranked 1st for Focus on Affordable and clean energy in India 2. Ranked 2nd for Decent Work and Economic Growth in India 3. Ranked 3rd in India by the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 4. LPU has been ranked among the top institutions in India for many of its disciplines by NIRF ranking 2021. LPU is 12th in Architecture, 24th in Law and 23rd in Pharmacy, 37th in Business Management, 66th in Engineering, and 62nd in Universities across India. 5. Ranked amongst the Top 200 universities of the world as per the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021. 6. IIIT Sonepat is a good institute. LPUs investment in intellectual capital is way beyond comprehension, extremely qualified and talented! With a research powerhouse of more than 100 post-doctorates and 700 PHDs, LPUs strength is its academic power. Coming to infrastructure, the huge 600 acre plus campus which is equipped with every machinery, equipment, and software required in all the programs is a wonder in itself, just, for example, more than 10 companies have established centers for excellence within the campus with their investment to keep an eye on the abundant talent! The central library is one massive 6 story building with lacs of books and a network to produce any title anytime! And this is in addition to many other libraries in all the departments. Industry plays an important part in shaping the careers of students at LPU, from consulting for curriculum to guest lectures, industry interface, internships, consulting projects, establishing centers, providing machinery and equipment, software, certifications and finally immersing the students from campus. Attracting 30000 plus students, 200 international universities, and more than 600 companies from all over the world to its state of the art multicultural campus year after year after year speaks volumes about LPU.

Both are good universities. As an LPU alumnus, I can discuss about LPU. LPU is much better than any other University. It is a UGC recognised and a renowned University and is considered as one among top 5 universities of the country because of its quality education and unbeatable placements, immense on course exposures and a beautiful 600 acres campus to live in with the latest facilities. LPU has the state of art infrastructure Sprawling across in 600 acres land, which accommodates 25000+ students from across the world. Targeting to enriching the students experience throughout their stay at LPU, the university has embraced facilities such as dedicated research and development blocks, a university-mall, state of the art laboratories, and smart classrooms. LPU's infrastructure is unparalleled to any of the universities in the India. It is a mini township with fantastic academic facilities with numerous eateries including brands like Dominos and Café Coffee day, India's first IMAC lab, inside mall, university- hospital and various other facilities for students from different nation sand states. LPU has one of the best placement records in the whole of India and that is why students want to join LPU to get placed. Right from Google to Microsoft, LPU alumni are working with the top brands at the package of 1 crore and above. Annually, more than 450 brands come to LPU to recruit the students, where 90% of them are MNCs. Moreover, 80+ companies that recruit from IITs and NITs also recruit from LPU. Barring few names in south, there are hardly any college which can boast of such tall records.
