Yes you can learn Java online through online courses. There are number of online portals which help students to learn Java like Coursera.org , techgig.com , udemy.com. You can read documentation from Oracle.com for Java. Also after you have learnt some basics start practicing on online portals by participating in contest. For this you can go to hackerearth.com or hackerrank.com . These platforms gives enough practice materials.
