Generally the candidates are not recommended to entirely skip portions of the BITSAT syllabus, but there are strategic ways to approach your studies:
- Analyze previous years' BITSAT question papers to understand frequently tested topics and subjects.
- f you're pressed for time, consider selectively skipping very niche or low weightage topics. However, do this only after a thorough understanding of the weightage distribution and at your own risk.
- Even for skipped topics, have a basic understanding of the concepts.

Candidates are advised to refer to the previous years' BITSAT question papers and analyze the important topics and weightage given to each concept and subject for preparation. This will let the candidates know which topics and concepts are important and cannot be missed out form the preparation process. However, the candidates are advised to study the entire BITSAT syllabus carefully so that they have a higher chance of scoring well in the entrance examination.
