Can I make my career in the architecture field after completing B.Tech in mechanical engineering?

I am in the 2nd year of B.Tech in ME. I belong to a family which has architecture as its background.

You need to pursue B.Arch in order to make your career in the architecture field.

Isn't there any way after completing B.Tech? Because I'm going to complete 2nd year of it.
