Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. No, One with commerce with Maths background can pursue B.Ed course and take math as a teaching subject. If you want to become a Maths teacher/professor, then on the basis of Commerce degree you won't be able to become one. You will need to become B.Sc. Maths / M.Sc. Maths to be eligible to teach Maths in schools or colleges. The B.Ed Syllabus is divided into 4 semesters. B.Ed First Year Syllabus deals with 9 subjects. B.Ed First Year syllabus is divided into 2 semesters. Students will need to sit for 2 Exams for Each semester in B.Ed first year syllabus having 325 marks each. Hope it helps.

No, You can choose only those teaching subjects which you have studied in your graduation or post graduation. To pursue B.Ed in that subject.
