BCI does not allow one to practice advocacy after pursuing LLB through distance learning. One has to necessarily enrol in full time course to practice law in India.
There are colleges which offer distance learning for LLB. However, it is advisable not to get enrolled for these courses if you want to practice law in India.

    Hello everyone,
Well, in order to practice law, you need to carry a law degree from a recognized university and the course must be a regular full time course.
Distance learning would serve you only a degree but no licence to practice.
The Bar Council of India prescribes the candidates appearing for Bar exams to carry a degree having a full time course of 3 years or 5 years. The candidates will then be eligible to appear for Bar exams and then successfully clearing the exam shall fetch you a licence to practice.
Thus, a distance learning course would be of nice if you wish to practice law in India.

    No. The answer is no.
In order to practice as a lawyer in India one must have license from bar council of India and BCI does not recognise LL.B through distance learning so if you want to practice law in India you must complete LL.B as a full time course.
But still, there are universities in India which offer LL.B as distance learning course.
