Can I prepare for JEE Mains and advanced in one year without any coaching? I am now in 12th standard.

Hi Christ, No, you can not prepare and if you will waste your time in thinking about all this then surely you can not. Otherwise, you can! It is a fact that what is taught in JEE coaching can be easily done by self studies. I have enlisted some points for you as Pros & cons. Please refer to them. Advantages of joining Coaching :- The biggest advantage is the exposure to competition. While what a student scores in board exam indicate his / her intelligence & hardwork, to score high in JEE demands a slightly different and higher aptitude. As the coaching centre concentrate solely on polishing the ability to face competitive exams, the students learn tips & tricks to gain speed & increase accuracy in the exam. Disadvantages of joining Coaching :- If time is not managed properly, the students may end up wasting time in the JEE coaching classes. If the student decides to join JEE classes, then following must be kept in mind - 1. The institute should not be very far from home or hostel. 2. The student to teacher ratio should not be very high.
