    Yes, you can get admission directly to the Doctor of Philosophy after the Bachelor of Technology course, provided you have a great academic background and some research experience. Some universities conduct entrance exams to select candidates for Doctor of Philosophy programs. Universities that conduct entrance exams do not ask for a University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test Certificate as a mandatory requirement. Doctor of Philosophy in specialised fields like engineering and technology requires a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) mandatory.
