Can I pursue B.Ed. from IGNOU with almost 2 years of teaching experience?

Asked about IGNOU - Indira Gandhi National Open University - Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

I have done BA in Hindi and have completed MA in Hindi with 51% from IGNOU in 2012. I have been teaching Hindi in CBSE school in Chennai.

    Yes, go for it. IGNOU is a recognized university, and you can easily pursue B.Ed from there.

    Yes, you can do so, if you have 2 years of teaching experience. You need to give the entrance exam of IGNOU for B. Ed for it, and after clearing it, you can do the two year B. Ed course from the best distance education university of India i.e. IGNOU.

    Yes, you are eligible, but you can go through the eligibility criteria of doing B.Ed from IGNOU.
    The following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed ODL:
    Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
    Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to face mode.

    Candidates with at least fifty-five (55) percent marks either in the bachelor's degree and/or in the master's degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity, bachelor's in engineering or
    Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.

    As you had done graduation, post-graduation and you are teaching in recognized school. Yes, you are eligible, but you can go through the eligibility criteria of doing B.Ed from IGNOU.

    According to my views and experience for B.Ed in IGNOU, you need to have minimum 2 year experience. So, you are eligible.
