    No, for B.Sc chem (hons), Maths is compulsory in class 12 as it is used in calculation of best of 3/4 subjects of merit and is also required in curriculum.

    Most universities offering B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry do prefer candidates with Mathematics as a subject in Class 12, especially for the Honours stream. However, it's not entirely out of reach. A few colleges and state universities allow students from the PCB stream, but the curriculum will be mathematically inclined. It's best to check individual college eligibility. If your interest in chemistry is deep and genuine, consider allied courses like B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry, which are more lenient. Don't let one subject limit your future there's always a route if you're passionate.
