Can I pursue B.Tech from any good college other than IITs and NITs?

Hello Amit, A lot of people still believe in the myth that pursuing B,Tech from IITs and NITs only can land them up in a decent job and you are no exception. I would like to let you know that there are a number of private colleges providing quality education and placements which are at par with the government institutes, and in some cases, even better than government institutes. I understand that getting enrolled into IITs and NITs is the dream of every engineering aspirant and the government colleges are also comparatively much cheaper than their private counterparts, but the harsh truth is these colleges have limited seats and not everyone is able to get into those colleges. At this stage, dropping a year or two for preparation to get enrolled into IITs and NITs might have a huge negative impact on your career if you are still unable to get through. JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are very competitive examinations which open excellent career options. But it does not mean that if you do not qualify for IITs or NITs then it is an end to a good engineering career. There are lots of good state and private colleges which have good academics, environment and placement records. You may evaluate BITS, VIT, SRM, BIT Mesra, Thapar University, Shiv Nadar University etc. for an excellent engineering career. Students of these colleges are also equally doing well in corporate career.
