Hi Aparajita, In order to pursue engineering one must have Science (Physics / Chemistry / Maths / Biology or Economics or any other subject) in 10+2. Students appear for different Engineering Entrance Exams like: 1. IIT - JEE 2. VITEEE 3. BITSAT 4. MU OET 5. SRMEEE 6. UPTU and many more at the state level and institute specific. Students can choose from the different branches that are available for engineering. Every engineering branch has its own PROS. and it wont be right to judge any branch.
