Can I pursue CA?

Hi Lovekesh, CA has 3 stages CPT IPCC FINAL Since you are a post graduate you make direct entry to IPCC.Register yourself with ICAI.You have 7 papers in IPCC.It is being heard that a new paper is going to get added to it.IPCC is divided into 2 groups-Group 1 and Group 2.Group 1 consist of 4 papers and Group 2 with 3 papers.You have the following 7 papers in IPCC INCOME TAX COSTING FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT LAW AUDITING IT STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT You have to complete ITT classes along with IPCC if you are opting direct entry.After that you have to complete 9 months of articleship.Then appear for IPCC exam.Complete the remaining years of articleship.After reaching 2.5 years of articleship you can attempt your FINAL exams. Hi Lovekesh, You can go with CA. Its just that you have work little hard in comparison with Commerce background students. Today, Chartered Accountants (CAs) occupy key posts in business organisations firms today particularly as advisors for tax management and in management accounting. Chartered Accountancy can be pursued after Class 10+2 or graduation. After Class X, a student has the option of registering with the Institute of Chartered Accountants for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). A student who has passed Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination may join the Professional Competence Course (PCC). Simultaneously, the student must register for articled training for a period of three-and-half years. Final exams of the Board can be taken in the last year of article-ship. In the industry, CAs are generally found in decision making positions of the finance division. CAs are involved with planning and financial strategies, preparing prospectuses for share issues, managing pension funds and long-term investments, investigation of prospective investments, merger or takeover.
