Can I pursue Diploma in fashion designing after class 10th?

Hi, You can go for Diploma in fashion designing in any government polytechnic or state textile institute. NIFT also offers 1-year Diploma program. However, a degree program is better as it fully prepares you on the basis of the industry requirements and gives you a complete education in not only design and execution but also in communication. You can go for a degree programme in NIFT directly in 2nd year, which is from 4th semester if you go for lateral entry after your Diploma in designing. This will help you even more and strengthen your designs. You can pursue Diploma. Duration of the course varies from 6 months to 2 years. Eligibility for the Diploma is class 10th pass with minimum 50%.
