For teaching in government schools (central or state), an M.Ed alone is not sufficient. Most government schools require candidates to have both a B.Ed and an M.Ed, depending on the specific subject and level of teaching. Moreover, many private schools may accept an M.Ed alone for teaching, especially in specialised subjects or higher grades. However, some private schools favor candidates with both B.Ed and M.Ed.
