Aerospace engineering is one of the primary fields of engineering that deals with the development of aircrafts and space crafts. Engineering Placements at Chandigarh University A Glance Campus Placements for the session 2021-22 saw some big names such as Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hewlett Packard, SAP Labs, Samsung, L&T, Arcesium, Wipro, Flipkart recruiting engineering students from Chandigarh University. A record number of 3750 engineering students were selected during the campus placements in which more than 240 multinational companies participated. In total there was a jump of 30% in number of total companies visiting the CU campus for campus placements of engineering students while there was jump of 70% in the number of core branch companies which selected the fresh talent. Moreover the total number of offers made to the engineering students also saw a rise of 60% in comparison to last year. Of the total 240 Engineering sector companies, more than 300+ MNCs offered pay-package of more than 5 LPA while number of companies offering package of more than 10 LPA touched 80+ this year. It is notable that the highest package of Rs. 52.11 LPA was offered by TOP Company. The minimum qualification for admission to this field is B.E. or B. Tech. with at least 50% (60% for IITs) marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university and a minimum of 60% in class 10 and 10+2. The preferred undergraduate courses, for admission to M.Tech Aerospace Engineering are B.Tech/B.E in Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Avionics/ CSE/ ECE/ Mech/ EEE/ EIE. IITs provide this course with four specialisations and the eligibility criterion for each of the specialisation is different. These four specialisations are: Aerodynamics: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering with valid score in GATE (explained in admission process) in ME/CE. Dynamics and Control: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering with valid GATE scores in ME/EE/EC/IN. Aerospace Propulsion: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with valid GATE scores in ME. Aerospace Structure: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering with valid GATE scores in ME/CE.

The preferred undergraduate courses, for admission to M.Tech Aerospace Engineering are B.Tech/BE in Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Avionics/ CSE/ ECE/ Mech/ EEE/ EIE. So, you can pursue it just check the norms of the respective university and work accordingly.
