Marketing do include some mathematics when you study marketing research, it includes concepts of Intermediate probability theory and statistics, whereas HR is pure fundamental concepts of organizations. It will include models for labor relations, employee management and organization structure. HR will be theoretical as compared to marketing.

If you have completed your graduation with 50% or more you can take admission in MBA through management entrance test and finally you will choose your specialization between the two as you mentioned.
