Can I pursue my M.Tech in Genetic Engineering after getting major degree in Mechanical Engineering and minor degree in Bio Engineering? I want to write GATE in Bio-Tech. Will it be possible?

    Hi Hemalatha,
    Basic eligibility for pursuing Genetic Engineering is:
    Aspirant must have passed 12 with main subject as Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics in addition to Genetics as a division of Biology.
    Aspirant must have passed B.Tech or B.Sc in Relevant Field in order to apply for post graduation.
    Many institutes offering this course conduct their own entrance examination. So admission procedure and eligibility requirements may vary in different institutes.
